What does an advisor do?

An advisor is more than a consultant. That’s why I think this term is more appropriate when working as a supervisory board with managing directors for many years.

If you want to have a competent board today, you should look for the right experts. Because companies generate an enormous advisory knowledge through a competently staffed supervisory or advisory board, which will have a lasting positive effect on the development. And the good thing is: unlike external consultants, a supervisory board member is not only available for a longer period of time as an advisor to the management, but also assumes responsibility for the company just like the executive board.

Actually, this is the best and most sensible support for a company. Because when it comes to the right strategic direction for the future, nothing is more helpful than having the right experts on your side.
